INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
There are times in our lives in which we inevitably feel stuck, or unhappy, or anxious, or are experiencing relationship problems, or a job loss, or a difficult life transition. Therapy can be a great place to slow down, to turn your attention inward and to begin to look at the obstacles that are preventing you from living a fuller life.
My work with adults is influenced by Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy.
COUPLES THERAPY
Couples often come to me when their relationships is already in disarray. They have endured years of hurt, misunderstanding, lack of intimacy, anger, disappointment, despair, feeling unseen and unheard... they come to my office feeling reluctant that anything could actually help. I offer a space in which couples can begin to communicate with each other more effectively, to listen and understand each other, and to find paths forward. My work with couples is influenced by Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy.
PARENTING
I aspire to help parents understand the meaning behind their child's behaviors so they can respond in more effective ways. I work with parents who have children in all stages of development, and often times who themselves are going through a life transition (loss, divorce, new marriage, parenting while experiencing depression or anxiety, relationship difficulties, etc.) With a Reflective Parenting approach, my goal is to support and guide parents in how to emotionally connect with and better understand their child, so their bond deepens.
CHILD, ADOLESCENT AND FAMILY THERAPY
Play, imagination, creativity and relationships are key, as children and adolescents build their sense of self in the world. I follow the child's lead with respect, openness and curiosity, offering them a safe and welcoming environment for them to explore their feelings. In addition, I work closely with parents to offer guidance on how best to support their child's growth. In my work with children, I draw from the Gestalt Therapy approach to psychotherapy.
MATERNAL MENTAL HALTH GROUPS
If you are experiencing depressed mood, anxiety, trouble sleeping or panic episodes, you may be going through a postpartum mood disorder, for which psychotherapy is one of the first lines of treatment. In partnership with Hillary Tuck, LMFT, we offer individual therapy as well as support groups where we explore your expectations and disappointments, your changing identity, and the impact of becoming a parent.
REFLECTIVE PARENTING GROUPS
This parenting group is a 12-week, evidence based model, with the goal of developing practical tools for effective parenting, improving your child's behavior, improving the child-parent bond, increasing your self-confidence as a parent, and helping your child regulate emotions.
